So, I didn’t quite manage to complete the 31 Days Challenge, but I really did learn a lot through the month. When I started, I didn’t know what I was doing, and that made it much harder than I thought it would. The technical aspects of blogging were a hindrance for me. I took way too long to figure out how to enter a picture where I wanted it and to create a weblink for something I mentioned. The 31 days flew by as I struggled to keep up!
Allume was a huge help. First of all, I just want to say, the conference was amazing! I loved getting to meet so many women who are passionate about sharing their love of God through so many different ways and experiences. The session leaders were also so helpful in providing information and answering questions. I thought I broke my blog at one point. Turns out I didn’t, but you will be seeing some major changes soon as I make the shift to self-hosted WordPress.
One thing I learned from this incredible group of women, is that it’s okay if I don’t know what I’m doing. I listened to so many stories of fellow bloggers and even session leaders of how they stumbled through the beginnings of blogging, tyring to figure it all out. They learned, and so will I.
Lastly, I want to share some pcitures from working with Sole Hope. It was so simple yet so amazing to see how quickly a group of women could cut out jeans to make many pairs of shoes. In a little over an hour, we cut out 100 pairs of shoes!! Sole Hope is such a great organization. They make it very easy for you to host a shoe-cutting party with kits that include the shoe templates, instructions, and a DVD that tells their story.
