Welcome back to Day 8 of 31 Days to Living on Purpose!
We’ve worked on setting goals this week and on breaking them down into achievable steps. Today, I want to give you two tips that I consider “must-dos” if you want effective goals that you will actually accomplish.
1. Remind Yourself of Your Goals
We can easily get distracted in life. Frequently reviewing your goals will help you to make conscious decisions that move you towards your goals. A great way to do this is to right your goals out and put them in a place you will frequently see them. You could tape them to the bathroom mirror and read through them while you brush your teeth, keep them on your desk at work, or by your bed to review at night. Do whatever works for you!
2. Regularly Evaluate Your Progress
In order to achieve your goals, you must evaluate how things are going and consider if anything needs to change for you to actually reach your goals. Put it on your calendar. Set a reminder on your phone. Again, we can easily get distracted, especially when its been a struggle to live purposely in the past.
I hope you have been able to set goals this week and are beginning to feel a sense of purpose, rather than being overwhelmed with activities that leave you feeling stuck.
