Can you believe it’s already October?! I love this time of year with cooler weather, all things pumpkin, and changing leaves. With the new month, I am excited to announce that I am joining Write 31 Days, started by Myquillyn Smith (a.k.a. The Nester) several years ago.
This month, every day I will be blogging about working towards less stress in my life.
I feel like stress noticeably impacts my life everyday, especially lately, and not for the better. Life has been full of changes – moving, different jobs, homeschooling for the first time – and my stress level has gone up, up, up!
Stress can have a negative impact on our health, and when we are stressed, we tend to take it out on those around us, who also happen to be those most important to us! High stress levels usually manifest themselves in unhelpful ways and even self-destructive ways. Bad day…eat a candy bar…or 5.
Joining Write 31 Days may seem like the cherry on top of an already overloaded sundae, but for me, it’s more like writer’s therapy. It serves as a creative outlet with a chance to work through my thoughts and works towards a better, less-stressed life.
I hope you’ll join me as we work towards becoming less-stressed with a more joyful, peaceful life!
So for today, I have an assignment.
Take some time and write out a morning prayer to be said every day. In this prayer I urge you to pour our your stress and insecurities to God, and ask for his guidance towards the plans he has for you while you identify areas of stress and ask for the self-discipline to make the necessary changes.
Take the time to start the day right by talking to God and gaining the needed focus to face your day!
Check back tomorrow as we continue this series.

You caught my eye with the planner today. I’m following along to see if you can help me reduce my stress. 🙂

Thanks Tami! I’m no expert, but I want to take an active stance against the negative stress that impacts my life. I hope what I am learning can be an encouragement to you!
