Welcome back to 31 Days to Less Stress! Today is Get Clean Thursday! When we are stressed, organization and housework can often get pushed aside.
Today, I want you to take out the trash! And I don’t mean the everyday trash in the kitchen or wastebaskets sitting around. I mean the stuff you’ve been meaning to get rid of for too long now. What do you have that’s just been sitting around? You’ve meant to throw it out but just haven’t had the time.
I’ve had these boxes sitting around for awhile (ahem…August…ahem). They need to go! Getting rid of the things we don’t need doesn’t really take that long, it just gets pushed off the list when there is so much else to do. In the process, our stress level sneaks up just a little higher because these items start to annoy us.
Take the time today to get it done! Finally cross it off the list. Get rid of the trash (or recyclables) you have had sitting around for too long. Then, enjoy the space. Just don’t fill it up with trash again!
