Welcome back to Day 7 of 31 Days to Living on Purpose!
Goals are rarely accomplished overnight. They require action and effort. Today, we are going to talk about making a Goals Action Plan to help make your goals manageable by breaking them into steps. I have created a printable to help you:

1. Choose your goals.
The first thing you will need to do is choose what goals to focus on. In the printable, I have created space to work with three goals. You may have many goals that you want to achieve when you think about all the different areas of your life, but it is difficult to be successful if you are trying to keep up with too many things at once. Doing so will lead you right back to where you started: feeling overwhelmed with too many things going on and not enough time to focus on what matters most.
2. Decide what needs to be done.
The next step is to make a list of what needs to be done so that you can accomplish your goal. Don’t worry about what order these items are in for now. Right down what you need to do to be successful in reaching your goal. Your goal may have many things to do, i.e. if your goal is to start a new business. If this is the case for the goal you are working on, try breaking it down further:
- What do I need to do this month to move me towards my goal?
- What is the first major thing that must happen in order to achieve my goal?
Once you have a smaller focus, use that as the guide for your to-do list.
3. Create your action steps.
Once you have a list of what needs to be done, then put those items in the order that they need to be accomplished. What needs to be done first, next, and so on. This will provide you with a starting point for moving towards your goal.
It can be easy to recognize a need for change, but then not know where to start. I hope the Goals Action Plan will motivate you in working towards achieving your goals by identifying the steps needed to take purposeful action!
