Welcome back to 31 Days to Less Stress! I can’t believe it’s our last week already. Today, I want you to think about the many blessings you have in your life.
When we are really stressed, we often forget about how blessed we are. Stress can cause us to focus on the negative–all the things that aren’t done or aren’t going how we want them to go. It’s time we fight back. Let’s not focus on the negative. Instead, let’s think of how blessed we are.
Take out a sheet of paper. Make a list of as many blessings you have that you can think of. If anything negative pops into your head, try to recognize the blessing in disguise. Is your kitchen a mess? It means you have food to eat and people to share it with. You also have a place to leave where you are free to make your own mess. You have utensils, pots/pans, a refrigerator, a stove, running water, electricity. The list could go on and on just from a dirty kitchen. Pour into the list as many ways you can think of that you are blessed.
Post your list somewhere you can see it. When you start to feel stressed, take a look at your list and remind yourself of how incredibly blessed your life is.
